Never once paid me on time. They are liars from start to finish. Shady business practices like trying to pay contractors through PayPal.

I am not shocked to see this many poor reviews from current/previous employees. I couldn't even make it through the "interview process" without running into trouble. The first interview was scheduled on May 29th with Stacey Martinez at 11am. When I received 0 calls I sent an email shortly after for her to inform me she is home sick and asked to reschedule.

I sent her my availability and did not receive any response. Today June 10th, I followed up and sent an email to see if the position was still available and if I can reschedule my interview. The immediately responded and set up my interview for 3PM. Can you guys guess what happened? No call! HAHAHHAHAA! I immediately let them know I was no longer interested in the position due to lack of professionalism and would like my information removed from their files!

Shortly after sending them the message about wasting my time and being unprofessional I received this email and could not help but LMAO "Hello Justin, Thanks very much for your interest in SMARTECH & Associates L.P. and for applying to the Entry Level Technical Recruiter position. We appreciate the chance to learn more about you and your professional experience.

We reviewed your application carefully. Unfortunately, we won't be moving it forward at this time. We'll keep your information on file, however, and look forward to reaching out to you when the right opportunity arises. In the meantime, I wish you success with your job search and in your career. Thanks again for your interest in SMARTECH & Associates L.P. Best, Shawn Moore" So as I said early I am not surprised with all the employees rating this "company" poorly. Stacey and Shawn I wish the best for you, if you guys need pointers on how to dial a number into a phone please contact me!

Obviously you have my number! Cheers ***UPDATE*** OWNERS COMMENT there was 1 follow up from Shawn after seeing my rating. Informed him I do not wish to speak to him because he already proved his level of professionalism. He offered to speak with CEO. Have yet to receive follow up.

From my experience, this company has helped my husband start his career, and even helped him to make a step up in his career. The CEO David Moore was very nice when I talked to him, and even supported my husband's career move. Great technicians in this company, and I'd definitely recommend then to anyone.

Aside from one or two of the women whom I spoke with regularly, this company is garbage. The "CEO" Sean is just ridiculous. On several occasions my pay was not deposited on time, thus resulting in bills that were dependent on that check not getting paid. When asked about why this was happening, the best they offered was that they were sorry and it would be there the following Monday. NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Upon leaving the company, I gave them a weeks notice and wouldn't you know, my final check took a threat of legal action and almost two weeks to be deposited. Then after all that, ( poor pay, no benefits, shady business practice) this guy had the gall to ask me if I would run a job for him in the middle of the week! Are you kidding? I have a new job and it is wonderful to know what being appreciated for my work feels like.

Don't work here. When you agree on a rate they will change it so they don't have to pay you. They screw over their own customers too. If they didn't pay you what they owe, call the Department of Labor. They want to talk to you. That's what I'm doing, they're about to sue them. We are not alone

I had a terrible experience when working for them. They do not pay anything for the distance and trips you make. I waited three months to get paid and on top of that they still wanted to squeeze me to travel at night. They are extremely selfish and unhumane. They are a joke and a bunch of unprofessional liars.

Posted to the "Contact Us" section at Smatech, Which retruned an invalid server code, go figure. Please forward to a manager in HR: I had a conversation with a recruiter. I did not appreciate the tone. I was willing to let it go. I was willing to let my certification be revoked since I didn't pay for it. I should have received an email like this: "Sorry to hear you no longer wish to work with us.

Because you no longer wish to work with us, I will have to revoke your certification and you will no longer be eligible to work for us or our affiliates. Good day." I could understand that email. The one I received was unprofessional. "Just for that you are now banned from working with our company and any affiliates of it. Have fun trying to get a job in this field now.

There was no reason for the attitude you just gave. I was trying to help you as I stated over and over again. I just needed verbal confirmation that you were working. I am canceling everything with you and stripping your certifications as well. Thank you for wasting my time." I am glad I turned down the job if this is the pithiness the entire company holds. The recruiter was ***erased for privacy***

Payment doesn't add up. Drive your own vehicle and cover gas /other expenses plus your time driving (hope you don't get caught in traffic) and receive $18 per completed service call up to 20 miles away before 1099 taxes? This doesn't count driving and time over at their location to pick up parts before running the calls. What are you making after you take all this expense out? what $10 an hour? Less?

You're going to have to pay an independent contractor quit a bit more than that if you expect the contractor to carry these expenses. Just thought I would put this out there because the company Doesn't Advertises what it pays contractors. Go figure, If it did, no one would bother once they added it all up. This was far less than I was expecting. Hope this helped the next person out.

This company cut me because I didn't finish my certification test in two days like apparently some other candidate that did. I dont know what that had to do with me because I discussed on the phone what I knew, didn't know, and what I could do. Knowing that I don't see why someone with my background was cut so soon and even asked to be hired if they weren't going to work with what we discussed.

No one gave me a point of time to know when I needed to finish my certifications so I had been working on these things for three weeks based off of "real life experiences" where I had things going on in my life that out stretched my test taking time. I messaged every week and said I was still working on the certs and no one gave me a reply at all.

As a female I felt very mistreated because I was called sir in the email without them even knowing what my gender was in the first place. I didn't understand why they would treat me like this. I've worked at St. Mary's Hospital on multi million dollar projects before and I've worked for Apex Systems. I'm just confused because those companies treated me way better and even checked up on me and understood that if family emergencies came up it happens.

I liked that those companies had good values and this one does not. I'm sorry but my rating right now is low because of my experience with them. All it takes is communication and they could have said you need to have this done by " such and such date ". I think they could improve their service.
