Cherry Systems Data Recovery

BEWARE: THEY ATTEMPTED TO SCAM ME My mac tower work computer stopped working, and a coworker recommended Cherry Drives. I communicated this to Cherry Systems through an E-mail in which I also specified that it may not be harddrive related at all, but instead motherboard or video card as it would power on but just show lines on the screen. I received a boiler plate E-mail stating to bring my device to their office for a free initial evaluation, so I did so. Days later I receive a quote from them for $902.10 which stated that 1 of my internal harddrives has physical/hardware failure ($404.70 to repair) and the other two internal harddrives have logical/software failure ($248.70 to repair). I'm tech-savvy and build/fix my own personal computers, but work was paying for this one.

I knew the likelihood that all three drives just happened to fail at the same time was astronomical, not to mention it didn't look like a harddrive failure. So I thank them but tell them no, they respond asking me if it is a pricing problem and they can work with me on that if so, to which I kindly rejected. When I picked it up, I asked if they even cover computer repair to which the woman at the front desk said they only focus on harddrive repair.

I took the computer to another repair shop, and awaited their diagnosis before posting this review to confirm it wasn't harddrive related. Sure enough, it was motherboard related. instead of paying for system repair, I opted to have the harddrives taken out and encased to become external plug&play harddrives which they successfully did within minutes for $99.97, so I can confirm all of the drives worked without additional repair necessary.

Keep in mind, this is the exact end result I would've from Cherry Systems but $800 cheaper. If I accepted Cherry's quote, they wouldn't have even made an attempt at my original request to assess what was wrong with my computer.

We've been working with Cherry Systems for years. They are amazingly pleasant and professional to work with. Simply put. data recovery done right! I highly recommend them for any of your data recovery needs!

My flash drive crashed and I took it to Cherry Systems for data recovery. They had it back to me fully restored in less than a week! It was expensive but it was the least expensive place I could find between Best Buy and Secure Data Recovery. It was also the only place that recovered it on site and did not have to ship it off to be recovered. I would recommend Cherry Systems!

Stay away! This business is a scam! A psycho woman that works up front named Lauren which is their so-called gate keeper is a nightmare. I'm assuming that she is the fiance of the one-man band tech guru there. No one else would tolerate her Jekyll Hyde personality. They take your device and hold it there for days Collecting dust without even looking at it or beginning any work.

When you ask them about that they snap and then tell you that it can't be fixed or nothing can be retrieved. They are very very expensive and are dishonest. They keep erasing my reviews somehow. After I asked them why the work was not started on my device they tried to Dodge and avoid me and became very rude and disrespectful and told me to come pick up my device because they were unsuccessful and could not retrieve any of the potentially lost data.

I brought it to another company who begin work on it right away, it's much cheaper, much more professional, and was in fact able to retrieve my data. Don't waste your time here it's a bad bad business! Horrible people running it and very unprofessional

EDIT 12/22/20: I am editing my post because the management responded very quickly to my concerns. I received both an email apology and and a call from the manager. I feel confident that what happened to me, won't happen again. My review is now 5 stars for the company taking this issue very seriously and for addressing it in an expedient manner. ------------------------------------ I am leaving two stars when I would like to leave 5.

As far as the data recovery goes-they were great and all is well. It was done in a timely manner and the price was comparable with other places. When I dropped my hard drive off, the receptionist was masked and safety precautions were in place. I felt safe and comfortable. However, when I picked up the drive, a different receptionist WAS NOT MASKED and got very close to me.

I was masked and kept my invoice in front of my face. Considering the situation we are in, it is difficult for me to give a good review to a place that doesn't insist that the person dealing with the public is masked at all times.

Beware! Do NOT trust or use this company under ANY circumstances! They lie, and they will waste your time and hold your equipment hostage and not even work on it. They have you unnecessarily bring in your mobile device or whatever and tell you that it waits in the so called 'que' until it's your turn which means it's simply sitting around doing nothing until their one man band finds the time to work on it which is obviously delayed!

Then when you inquire about the status the crazy tall blonde Jekyll Hyde woman Lauren gives you the run around and dodges you until they finally tell you to come pick up your device because unfortunately they determined that they can't successfully retrieve your data because she's on a tangent! Very unprofessional people! I'm assuming her fiance is the tech guru their because I doubt anyone else would tolerate her craziness!

Good luck to him! Additionally, their prices are crazy high but they prey on your despair! I took my phone back after 5 days of it just sitting there and not being worked on after they lied and said that nothing could be found or retrieved and I got it to another company that was professional and prompt and MUCH cheaper that had no trouble restoring what I lost and they started the job immediately and turned over the work promptly and efficiently!

Save yourself the stress, trouble, hassle dishonesty, and unprofessionalism of cherry solutions. Wish I had known! I RARELY write reviews but I didn't want anyone else to be taken advantage of like I was! Lauren needs to STAY OUT of the business and seek help for whatever issues she's encountering!

During the aerial filming of a yacht everything went great. Unfortunately the SD card from the drone was corrupted. I purchased $150 (Wondershare) and ran recoveries that only left me with fragmented unusable video and raw files. I have lost filed before but never had a card that I could not recover. This card was bad off! I took a leap of faith and sent it to Cherry Systems.

The card experienced a software failure and they restored virtually every file. I'm sure this is not every case but the communication was great, the turn around was great and bottom line I was able to complete the video portion and invoice my client. Well worth it.

HUGE shout out to Cherry Systems Data Recovery in Marietta, GA! They were able to get me back all of the videos I lost from my broken SD card for a VERY reasonable cost. I can't wait to get these videos out to you guys! There's about 8-9 videos on this drive that they rescued!

Recently had a failed hard drive that I was very upset about. After a failed attempt by the Geek Squad to recover it, i was referred to Cherry Data. Man am i glad i came here, they recovered my data in their awesome clean room and did so in record time! Highly recommended!

I needed assistance with attempting to recover data on a hard drive. The entire staff was super helpful and did their best to save what they could. They stayed in constant communication. About 6 weeks ago my external back-up hard drive DIED. It contained 3TB of data. I originally took the drive to ONYX where they couldn't get the drive to even mount. ONYX then recommended CHERRY SYSTEMS in Marietta. Once at CHERRY SYSTEMS the drive went through 2 levels of support - both unsuccessfully. The third tier of support was their R&D department.

After 4 additional weeks I received an email that they were able to recover over 2TB worth of content. I am beyond thankful. If you ever need a miracle for lost digital content, I highly recommend CHERRY SYSTEMS. Thank you for recovering 25+ years of client files and photography.

I can't speak highly enough of everyone I dealt with at Cherry Data! Full explanations of all my options, patiently answering all my questions and some very serious hand holding as they attempted to recover photos and videos from a bucket list trip. Every other option that had been presented to me prior to finding Cherry was out-of-state. It was great to find a company locally that operated so very professionally.

Their prices were similar or lower to other (out-of-state) places I had contacted. While we didn't find what we were looking for, I wouldn't hesitate to go back to them and/or send anyone I know to them for help. I hope you never need to recover anything, but if you do.go to Cherry. They are awesome!

This was the first time I needed this type of service so I had no clue what to expect when I contacted Cherry Systems. I could no longer access the 42 or so gigs on my 64 gig Lexar thumb drive and have editing deadlines looming. When I took it to their office I had an informative chat with Lesley and asked her to expedite the restoration attempt. Long story short, they were able to recover about 35% of my files and I'm getting back to work now.

The thumb drive was in pretty bad shape but the engineer who salvaged these files is going to try to get more data off it by using some other methods. Fingers are firmly crossed! My rating isn't based on the volume of data recovered, it's mostly about the service. Lesley sent me several update emails during the first round of work so I'd know where the process was.

She asked plenty of questions in hopes that my answers would provide some helpful clues, and she didn't blow me off, as I've had other IT folks do for different projects in the past. If I had to deal with the problem at least I was comforted knowing that Lesley and Team cared enough to go the extra mile to fix it.

I decided not to use Cherry Systems after receiving a quote that blew me away due to their high cost. I'm confident Cherry Systems could recover my data and for that I'm giving them a good rating for the work they are most likely capable of. However, I did find another local company that recovered my data successfully and charged me $568.00 less then what Cherry Systems quoted me. Cherry Systems first quoted me a cost much greater than $1000 and then when I told them it was too much they dropped the quote to under $1000 (for their slower service).

So my recommendation is to make a few phone calls and don't be scared of the all data recovery companies requiring that you send your hard drive to them through the mail. The company I chose (I will not mention) was very professional and sent me texts and emails at every step of their data recovery process. So go ahead and try Cherry Systems if you're in a rush and money doesn't matter. If you can wait a week longer then shop the competitors for huge savings.

I've been a small business owner for over 25 years. A 5TB hard drive with 2.6 TB of Video and Photo files crashed on me. My trusted local computer guy recommended Cherry Systems in Marietta. Never having used data recovery services before, I wanted to get at least two quotes and so I compared Cherry to a another Recovery Service much closer to my home near Mercer University. (I got nothing but Arrogance and a higher price quoted to me by that place.

They had that attitude like only they can do it and everyone else sucks. I just hate businesses that act like you're a fool if you don't choose them.) On the other hand, Lesley at Cherry Systems was a pleasure to work with. She offered me different price points based on my need and then her tech recovered all my files, 2.6 Terabytes, at a price hundreds of dollars less than the other shop near me.

It was well worth the drive out to Marrietta to work with you Lesley. Thank you guys. I hope I don't need you again but i'll recommend you to my clients and friends.

I definitely went to Cherry Systems and was quoted an outrageous number for work they could not do properly. My yelp user name is short for my actual name, so no you haven't seen my yelp name as a customer of yours. But yes it was me.

Cherry Systems recovered data off of a friends computer who had experienced a tragic house fire. My friend lost almost everything that was dear to him but Cherry recovered the data and the iPhoto library which was the bulk of his family photos. They did this with compassion and without charge.
