Chriss & Keith started OrLANtech back in 1995. Unfortunately, they couldn't start in the basement since they lived in Florida, or in the garage since it didn't have AC! As a co-founder and co-owner of OrLANtech, Chriss manages the service team to ensure his customers get the best out of OrLANtech. He has over 25 years of IT experience and stays abreast of new technologies to ensure the best solutions for our clients. He's a saltwater fisherman and an avid volleyball dad.
We believe that community success is directly correlated to business success. We do everything we can to help our community and support the organizations that keep it thriving. This includes actively engaging our employees in community projects or supporting their own community initiatives. By teaming up with local organizations, we are able to not only serve our clients in the workplace, but also in their communities. Community and nonprofit organizations also benefit from a strong IT partnership. For this reason, we offer discounted rates to nonprofits.
We have hired many IT firms over the past thirty years, searching for a company large enough to be able to respond quickly when problems arise, but small enough that we develop a trusting relationship with a few people who understand our particular needs. We found the perfect solution at a fair price to handle our day-to-day issues and yet still handle technical issues that threaten to temporarily shut down our business. Dean is a member of a group I work with where we all team up from the differently industries we are in and network to make sure all our customers are getting good service. His presence and confidence with what he does is comforting knowing he knows his stuff. I have not personally had him perform services for me but I will in near future.

Our firm has received high-quality managed services since 2011 after OrLANtech designed and installed our latest network system. Managed care includes proactive support of the network server and individual stations system-wide. As may occur in any network environment, we became victim of an encryption virus several years ago. OrLANtech was able to identify and remove the threat and then reinstall our timely backups extremely quickly. OrLANtech staff worked around the clock to restore most of our services within the first 24 hours while archived data was restored over 2-3 days. OrLANtech's high-quality response was extremely important for a small company of our size.
For periodic requests or individual assistance, we are able to create and follow-up on work orders remotely or by phone. The technical engineers are knowledgeable and very diligent about addressing our needs. OrLANtech has also been successful in retaining its engineers and cross training its staff in order to provide timely and effective support.
We meet each year to discuss our annual strategic report to plan for the future. Soon we will be planning the next upgrade in our system and we look forward to having OrLANtech lead the way!
