Based in Hillsboro, Oregon, we provide computer and network services for small businesses and residences in the surrounding area. That can range from a single PC with a dial-up connection to many workstations, servers, printers, network switches, routers, and firewalls with a high-speed connection to the Internet. That could mean anything from one hour every few months to several hours per week. 2001 was an interesting year. We inaugurated a new President in the midst of a recession. Tim was working for a very large semi-conductor manufacturer providing server sales support, but was feeling kind of cramped and took the opportunity to go do something else. And the recession got deeper and Tim started Your Computer Guy as a sole proprietor, doing what he liked to do, in the way that he liked to do it, providing honest, friendly service to small businesses and individuals, treating people the way he would like to be treated.
We can help you implement a back-up plan that is easy to use and will protect your valuable information. In case of a minor disaster, like, you can't find the spreadsheet that you were working on yesterday, it is good to have a backup available quickly. In case of a major disaster, like a fire, earthquake, or flood, you need to be able to recreate your servers with all of their data as quickly as possible.
