The 3 Geeks (T3G) was founded in 2002, as the result of a collaboration of three technologically advanced computer engineers. Remaining founder Tom Menasco, and his wife Beth, now manage the growing enterprise, and a multitude of talented Geeks. As their Chief Engineer says, "Minds are like parachutes, they only function when open!" T3G Engineers realize that there are many ways to do just about anything, but they have to be open minded to be able to see which method will be most effective for a particular client.

Took my laptop in an told him the keyboard doesn't work because water got on it and I needed to know if it could be fixed. All I was told was yeah I'll take a look and give you a call. I was thinking sweet this must be something pretty simple if I'm not getting a price quote. 3 days later I get a call saying it is $95 and that he confirmed the keyboard doesn't work and he recommends a new laptop.
I ended up paying for him to tell me what I already knew and his excuse for not quoting me a inspection cost was, "there's a sign that says so" I found the sign when I went back to get my laptop. It was not big or in an obvious location. Waste of time, waste of a business and I will never refer anyone to go here. Fix your business practices guy.

Took my external Hard Drive to these guys a while back cause it had been damaged. After a few days they said that the case of the External hard drive was damaged and needed to be replaced so I let then do that even though they said it would cost 110$ for a new case I could have just bought a whole new drive from walmart for around 75$. Another few days and I got it back with a new case on it and with all my info (music, picture's, and video's) still intacked, they did a great job just thought for what they did and the time it took them that it shouldn't have cost that much.

I've used 3 Geeks several times and had a good experience each time. Most recently my daughter broke her power port on her new warrantied laptop. They dealt with Dell customer service (that's a plus in itself) and found out it was not covered by warranty due to it was damage (and it was). Instead of gouging me they quoted me a very reasonable price to repair and told me it would take a week for the part to come in. Well the part came in 4 days early and they had my laptop ready to go the same day. Always a pleasant experience!

Rarely do I write a poor review, but 2 out of 4 experiences with this shop have been bad. Would have gone to 1 star but am giving the benefit of the doubt based on one pretty good, one fair job and 2 very poor ones. The last experience breaks the camels back. Dropped off a laptop for a powerplug repair. They said 3-5 days to repair. Stop in on 5th day to check on the status of the repair.
They told me the power plug needed a repair. I informed the young lady at the counter that this was the reason I had brought it in and that I had told them that. She typed on their computer a bit and told me the hard drive was corrupted and they needed my log-in password. I asked when someone was going call me on that since we were already at 5 days and I hadn't heard a thing.
She said "Probably next Tuesday." I retrieved my laptop and took it somewhere else. Too lackadaisical and unprofessional for my tastes, especially with the prices they charge. There are other computer shops in downtown Edmond who are much more committed to customer satisfaction and while I prefer to support my local independent businesses, unfortunately, I will no longer be supporting this one.

After I wrote this review and complained on their web page, a manager contacted me, apologize and made a partial refund. I took my laptop in for a problem that was keeping me from using the computer. I specifically told them, "Don't add anything and don't change anything. Just fix the problem." Steffanie told me they wouldn't do anything without talking to me first.
They kept it 1 weeks and didn't even look at it until I called on the 6th day. The technician told me it was "adware" and would cost $150 and take 2-3 days to remove. When I called back, Steffanie told me, "You have a full blown virus that lets anyone get on your computer and do anything. It will cost $225 to remove." I didn't realize that couldn't be true, since that isn't the way viruses work.
But it scared me enough to be willing to pay the higher price. When I went in to get the computer I learned that they had added at least 3 programs and made at least several changes that I didn't want. For example, they changed my home page, rearranged my favorites and redesigned my control panel. This is the equivalent of going into someone's house and rearranging the furniture without their knowledge or permission.
I very calmly and politely told them why I was dissatisfied. They said nothing, as there was nothing they could say. This is a terrible business, and I will never return there. BTW, their warrantee period is a whopping 48 hours - and they only agree to "discuss" any problems you have during that period.

I took two lap tops in, and was told they would run a diagnostic for $20.00 each and would hear something in 72 hours, but it was slow, so it may be sooner. On the third day I called to check on the status, they hadn't looked at them yet because it was so busy (what?)but they were next. Got a call shortly thereafter, I was told that my son's kept crashing because it was getting hot from the games he played and it was dirty; mine had add-ons that were "dug in deep" which they could remove for $85 dollars and install a free anti-virus, add-on protector and firewall.
Another $20 to clean my sons. Great- do it. Got them back with a whopping 48 hour guarantee- the guarantee was shorter than the repair time! My son's lap top still keeps crashing even when he was just typing a paper for school. My laptop runs horribly slow. It takes over 3 minutes for it to turn on, and I get error notices when searching the internet because it takes too long for the page to load. Complete waste of time and money. Look for other options before going to the geeks.

Just picked up my Acer Laptop, after they called me and told me it was ready, I needed a new backlight which is on Amazon for $55. (They charged me $125 for the part)They charge $85 per hour. I just watch a You Tube video of replacing a backllight that took 10 mins. I also so a video that took 6 mins. They charged me for 2 hours labor!?! I asked about the 2 hours, and they said that they had to check to make everything worked.so let say the repair took 20 mins, and then they messed around on my computer for 1 hour and 40 mins? Really?!.When I came to pick it up, the keyboard wasn't even on!, it was just loose.?!
Glad I opened my laptop up and checked.who does this? AND if they did mess around for 2 hours on my computer, you would have thought the keyboard would have been on. DUH. Don't recommend these people at all. Paid over $300 for a $55 part and for a ten min fix. Thanks. Learned my lesson!
