If I can give 0 star, I will give 0, very bad store! My laptop cannot connect to the internet and I didn't fix it then I thought it may not because of the software problem, I found this repair place, they hold my laptop for 1 hour and told me it took 100 dollars to fix. I tried to fix it by myself and I opened my laptop when I back home, and so funny I found they put a very little tip on my network adapter, you guys can found it from the picture.

That tip lead to the system cannot find the hardware, it should be a simple software problem but they made it as the hardware problem and wanted to charge 100 dollars! It shouldn't be the first time to do that for this place. Alert!

Honestly the place looks super sketchy when you walk in. You have to take an old elevator upstairs and the front office is kinda bland. BUT the service was great. I had a problem with installing a new SSD in my laptop. The guy fixed it in 2 hours. I didn't even have to wait a full day. Don't judge the place on its looks. They do a great job

This man is truly an angel! My son's laptop crashed the day before his college semester finals were due. I brought the laptop in and he had it repaired in under 2 hours. His prices are extremely reasonable. He is kind and understanding, and I can't say enough about his professional knowledge. I called him an angel that day and will continue to do so! I would give him the highest recommendation possible.

Was skeptical of this place at first. Had taken my HP Spectre 360 to another place in town, where they could not figure out what exactly was wrong with it after 2 weeks. Being told they could fix it within a day at this place seemed too good to be true. I must admit, the bare hallway and old elevator to get into the shop is a little sketchy, but they fixed my computer in a day for a fair price and so far its working just like new.

Shady ass place. Like some other reviews said I got the free diagnostics since it was advertised as free. However due to the cost charged to fix the problem I decided not to fix it there. The guy went back and did something and gave my computer back. After I went back computer doesn't even power on, which was not the original problem. I took it elsewhere and found out there was pin or something similar put on the motherboard that prevented it powering up.

Obviously I couldn't have put that there myself. So my guess is the guy wasn't happy I didn't fix it there after the free diagnostics. So fking shady. I would avoid it like a plague.

Awesome experience! Chosing Laptop Repair instead of Greek Squad saved me at the least $100 & time waiting! I had a messed up hard drive that needed to be replaced. GS quoted me at least twice as much just to begin the process & back-up data (this doesn't include the price of buying a new hd or other fixings). By choosing LR, they backed-up my old hd, purchased/installed a new hd (which was upgraded free of charge), and fixed the broken hinge on the laptop.all for half of GS quoted price.

After it was all said & done, after the one day diagnostic, it was available in 2 days! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for fast, efficient, and affordable laptop repair.

The customer service was okay and my laptop works smoothly now. However, it's a little too pricy.

Terrible experience, my laptop was returned in a worse-off state than when I brought it in! The owner did damage to my MacBook Pro and said that he didn't even notice it. Took my laptop in and it would boot up, however upon receiving my laptop back, it wouldn't even turn on. Initially the owner said he could fix it by the next day, but ended up keeping it an extra day.

He stated that he wouldn't be able to fix the machine, and returned it to me with a broken piece (pictured) and it not being able to even function. If you are thinking about going to this laptop repair shop to fix yours, I would recommend you look elsewhere. Owner was rude and lied to me to my face. The photo shows the damage that was done to my computer while it was in the hands of this shop.

It appears as if something underneath overheated and caused the plastic to melt. Owner did replace the plastic piece, but clearly there was more damage since the screen would not turn on. What a joke of a place! Do not take your laptop here and spend a little more to take it to a more reputable shop.

Laptop : Thinkpad yoga 14 Problem : Suddenly stopped working and wasn't detecting the charging adapter What I did: I panicked and went straight to Laptop repair of Gainesville guys. I was told to leave the laptop for the free diagnostic service. I left the laptop there. I got a text on monday that my main board in not working and will be charged 290 dollars for repair.

I decided not to pay this amount and get my laptop back. I went to the shop on monday evening and got the laptop back. Then I went to another shop called Dog bytes. These guys plugged in the charger and whoops the things started to work. The thing that hurted: After a free diagnostic checkup I was told a that a fee of 290 USD would be charged to replace the main board.

The repackaged laptop was also not screwed properly(loose screws). I would should mention that screws were already missing but I had to ask the reception to screw in 2 more screws because at the time I accepted the laptop back 4 screws were missing. Also, I was told that my keyboard will be properly fitted if I come back the other day which I didn't go.

I had a nightmarish experience. I could have lost 290 USDs for a new board that wasn't even needed but I got saved as I decided not to go ahead with the repair work. This was the only issue I would like people to know. The information about board not working was not accurate as its working fine. Infact I am using the same laptop to write this review.

No offense otherwise. Alternative I chose: Dog Bytes computer services inc. They have open desk. Not free diagnostic; I guess its 45 but worth it. P.S they charged me nothing cuz all the did was push the power button!

Before PC Repair screwed me out of $180 this year, 2 years ago these bozos screwed me out of $230 when hey lied about "virus" and video problems. Do yourself a favor, BUY a new from Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy etc. and NEVER trust these or anyone else. HINT: 1. Take your current PC/Laptop and save three things to an external drive: --User info, --Bookmarks of IE or Mozilla, --Write down ALL passwords on Notepad, and in pen, for every site you need them, 2.

Buy a new PC or laptop when your other breaks down, and [fanfare] 3. DON'T BUY CHINESE ANYTHING or TRUST ANY COMPUTER REPAIR PLACE AGAIN. Joke Q What is the difference between a computer repairman and a used car lot? A. The Used car lot is knowledgeable, sincere and honest.

My son's laptop crashed to the floor hitting a chair from his lofted bed when he was seriously ill with the flu last week (lunging for the sink to vomit) as an Engineering student taking advanced classes. The hinge bent backwards like an inside out book, half disconnected, body cracked open so insides exposed, couldn't be backed up or charged.

He took it to 4 places before this and no one could repair it for him- either didnt know how at all, or said it would need to be shipped out for diagnostics then repaired at cost upwards of $350 and 3 weeks. The uf help desk sensing his desperation gave him this place. They figured out what was wrong in front of him and promised it back to him by evening. The best part? All for $195! And he could do his online test and two assignments on time. Thank you! Great work

I found Jonathan to be knowledgeable and interested in saving me money. He replaced parts rather than tossing out the whole logic board - better for the environment and for my pocketbook. I highly recommend him for Apple repairs. Because he has electrical engineering background he can replace components whereas other shops just swap out the whole board ($900). I also needed a battery replaced and other Apple authorized shops here quoted me at $600 and he did it for $249 (the battery is glued in).

Great customer service! I had wifi problems that kept returning after going (only reason for less than 5 stars). Jonathan did a great job by taking my laptop in and repairing it for free every time. Ultimately figured out the problem and now I am good to go!

Replaced my keyboard - it's working great again. Discount for students was nice - I was quoted $240 at a place in Miami, but only $200 here.

Very knowledgeable, fast turnaround, reasonably priced, good communication. Worked hard to get things done right. My new first choice for anything laptop related that I can't fix myself.

I showed up basically at closing (I was watching a Let's Play of Five Nights at Freddy's and I got scared and dropped my laptop) with a screen showing completely white, I handed it over to Jonathan, who is really cute but that might be because I love the quiet ones, and less than 24 hours later, I have it back wonderfully fixed! The price he quoted me was the price I paid and the absolutely lovely beautiful boy that he is even cleaned the laptop surfaces. Good thing too, cause I surely wasn't going to get around to that. I might have ended up somewhere else if I hadn't been living on campus, but I'm glad I ended up here!

I am very happy. The service was great. The price was a lot cheaper than I had been told elsewhere.

My computer wouldn't turn on & I never had the chance to back it up. I took it to Laptop Repair AFTER stopping by Best Buy & was told by Geek Squad that I just needed to get a new laptop. Laptop Repair discovered my motherboard had crashed - replaced it - fixed it!- & it was under $200! Speedy service too. Took less than a day to get my laptop back! I highly recommend him!

My son is a student at UF taking classes, so when his backpack hit the corner of a table (with his laptop in it) and then the monitor on his laptop stayed dark, it was an emergency. He dropped it off just before 7PM on that same day (maybe even after 7 the guy was still there) and he got it back the next day just after lunch, with a new video card - the laptop now works just fine.

The guy who did the repair even answers the phone, and called when it was ready. I doubt this quick turnaround would have been possible with some other places, and the price was reasonable.

Amazing service and quick. Even helped after hours, when I could not find a file I needed. Price was right for all the did. They even fixed parts of my laptop that I had forgot was broken. My new best friend in the computer world!

I don't know what happened but my kids were messing with my laptop one day and suddenly the password was changed and I couldn't get into Windows. I took my laptop to the laptop repair store and talked a guy named Patrick, he assured me that he could unlock my computer with no problems. 15 minutes later, he did it. I was able to get into my laptop like before.

He gave me a good deal for the unlock and couldn't argue with the price, especially in the time he got it done. I didn't even have to leave the store. Awesome job. Keep up the good work guys! =D
