I needed a CPU cooler (I bought one that wouldn't fit my case by accident) and I was disappointed that I'd need to wait a few days to complete my new build just for this 1 part. I frantically looked around to see if any of the big box stores had one locally but their inventory was a joke. I stumbled across KyTrade almost at random and called them up to see if they had what I needed.
They did and were closing in less than 30min. I ran over there and they had the exact CPU cooler I wanted originally (that I couldn't find online which led to me buying one that didn't fit). I was in and out in just a few minutes with the correct cooler and they threw in a free SATA cable when I asked if they had any to sell. I'm sad that it's taken this long (I've lived here over a decade) for me to realize such a gem was practically right down the street from me and I will be going back for any computer supplies I need in the future.

This was the ABSOLUTE worst purchasing experience in my life. Customer service is at 0%. I bought a printer that did not work out of the box!? Which I've never had happen in my life. (My guess is they sell second hand, returned items, bought in bulk from Amazon) They would not take it back. They had their "tech" guy go over the printer to make sure I didn't rob the item of any parts. THEN after leaving my office during work hours, 5 separate times, wasting a full 8 hours of my time, this includes standing inside the store for over and hour, getting my phone calls dodged and getting my bank involved, I finally managed to get a refund, after about a month.
This ONLY after I was asked to show the employee my bank account on my phone, TWICE to make sure I wasn't lying and stealing from them, all the while standing there twice while 2 separate people, (1 the owner) were on the phone with Quick books. The moral of the story is. It's this stores policy to NOT give refunds, at all. They have no trouble taking your money, then keeping the item you bought. Your valuable time will be wasted and you will be treated like a criminal.

My laptop's battery was not charging. They determined that the battery needed replacing. They did it, and it works. Fine. But the experience was not good. A place like that should understand how dependent people are on their devices. They didn't call me to say what the diagnosis was, and then when I had them order the battery, they didn't call me when the battery arrived, and they didn't call me when it was done (they could have done it one day sooner, too).
I had to keep calling them each time. Before hand they said there would be a labor charge, understandable, but they didn't say what it was. It turned out there was a minimum standard charge (they never mentioned that) and it was $125. So I paid that for them to open up the back of the laptop, switch out the battery, and put the back, back on. Then I got home, and then realized that they returned to me a different charging cord than the one I had brought in.
It was shorter, and the outlet I used where I normally use my laptop was now too far away. For a computer place, they didn't seem to work in a very precise manner, and certainly exhibited no concern to keep me up to date or in any way want to expedite their service. Yes, I now have a working laptop battery, but the journey along the way was not good treatment of the customer. Next time I have a need like this, I will look elsewhere.

I came in because I had bought a new M.2 ssd from Best Buy but it didn't include any mounting screws. at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon this store was still open, and I took a chance to see if they sold the screws kit. They did not. However! Ethan was kind enough to look through his spare parts in the back and came back out a few minutes later with the very last mount and 2.5mm screw they had in store, and he just gave it to me, for free!
So super nice of him. I wasn't expecting much when I came in but boy I'm glad I did. Top notch service all around--the next time I need a new part for my build I am coming here first! Thanks again Ethan!

I buy all my computers, monitors and parts from Kentucky Trade and highly recommend them. They stand behind their work and my Gaming PC (which doubles as a work PC) has withstood the abuse I put it under and runs like the day I bought it 4 years ago. I bought the one before this one from them too and my friend still uses it daily, so they build PCs that last!

The customer service was amazing and they know how to make the process as simple as possible for you. I had issues with my dell laptop, after a year or so of losing my charger and it not being charged, they were able to provide me one, fix it and recovered all of my documents, pictures and data! Definitely a go to place for computer services and products!

KY Trade Computer sells new and used computers. They specialize in custom built computers, deals on recent used computers and fixing your computer. I initially went to KY Trade due to frustration with big box stores! It was refreshing to work with sincere local folks who actually care about getting you a good deal! If this sounds good to you or you just can't get your present computer to work right they can help!
