Four years later and I've hired them again. My desktop had to be taken in and I was without my system for 24 hours :. They cleaned it up put in my new graphics card and upgrade the power supply to accommodate the new card. All clean and looking new. I'm still very happy with their service. Thank you Hang and Quan!

After an extremely unsuccessful hour-long phone call with Dell, in which I was told I'd have to ship my laptop to them to have the battery replaced, & told they would hold it hostage for 2 weeks, with various ransom prices depending on what shipping speed and warrantee levels I would pay for, I then had a similar experience with Best Buy (who couldn't even supply the replacement battery).

A search into local computer repair brought me to AlphaX Computer and Qwan. He was extremely knowledgeable, reassuring & calming by phone, so I brought my laptop in with the battery I had ordered on Amazon, and he proceeded to back up my data and replace the battery, which took a little under an hour. He also schooled me in how to use the battery/charging cord for the best life of both. I would highly recommend his services and will rely on him next time I'm in need.

I brought in an iPad 8th gen. with a completely shattered screen, that my daughter had dropped something on. mid center. I tried to remove and replace the digitizer myself, but quickly realized it was beyond my abilities to remove the screen after countless youtube videos, as glass was starting to shatter everywhere. The guy was able to use a replacement screen I had bought on Amazon and was even able to re-use the existing home button with touch ID with this replacement screen.

He repaired it just as good as new. I will most certainly take any difficult repairs to AlphaX / AlphauraX next time. Major plus that this is a local shop in my neighborhood!

The technician is very calm, and collected. He's low-key very capable! The price I was quoted matches up with the cost I expected (I sent in my laptop because I'm too lazy to do the repair myself)

The office is on the second floor and you have to buzz what appears to be an apartment building's call box to get in and access the elevator. BUT once I got past the moderately confusing entrance, I was very happy with the service! He replaced my screen with a genuine Apple iPhone screen in 30 minutes(!) and while the price was a little higher than some other local stores (I believe I paid $130?), it was a perfect repair.

This was about six months ago, and there have been no issues. Another "repair" store on 60th and Woodside Ave gave me an aggressive sales pitch to switch cell carriers and get a "free" phone. This experience was simple!

Everyone here is honest, knowledgebale and hard working. They have fixed phones and multiple computers for me. Their prices are more than fair and as a software worker myself I am geniunely impressed with how consistently capable they are. Some things just can't reasonably be fixed and if that is the case they will tell you honestly instead of wasting your time and money.

If it can be fixed, AlphaX can probably fix it. They are wise and kind and so helpful. I am sooooooooo blessed and thankful they are part of the Sunnyside family. I love them so much.

Called them, scheduled an appointment for later that day to replace a key on my keyboard. I was worried that it would be difficult to install, but was in and out within 10 minutes. Super friendly, professional and took the necessary precautions for COVID. Would definitely recommend. I will say that the google pictures of this store front show Queens Boulevard NOT Greenpoint ave. Make sure you head to the right place. Now to get used to my computer having all of its keys again.

Very honest person! I had a problem with my Microsoft laptop and it wasn't turning on. I handed him my laptop and took a look at the problem. Within 2 minutes, he was able to turn my laptop on with no problems. He gave my laptop back to me stating there's no problem and it is just the battery conserving energy. I was not charged or lied into leaving my laptop. Thanks again!

Don't bother going anywhere else. These guys are my fo-to because they are fair, knowledge and fast! My iMac had seen better days when I took it there to remove a virus. Hang mentioned that the hard drive was ancient and might fail soon. Instead of pressuring me to make the repair immediately, he gave me a quote and said come back when ready.

I notice that things were seriously slowing down and asked when i. Oils bring it in. They worked around my schedule to find a good time, which I really appreciated. The computer can back quickly and better than ever. They get the elusive 5stars!

I dropped my hard drive and it wasn't reading on my computer over 3TB of footage. Took it here and I got all my footage back in about a few days. I had to provide a hard drive to transfer footage. Now I'm on my 2nd 3TB drive to recover thank you guys

My old computer and the backup external hard drive for it stopped working a few months ago and I wanted to have the data recovered, Alphax team reviewed both my external hard drive and my laptop for me and gave me the options for my data recovery so I could get the maximum amount of my data back. I was impressed by their service and communication process through all of this, and was able to get all my data back! I highly recommend them for data recovery services.

Excellent communication and repair, and very conscientious. They replaced my cracked iphone screen while I did some shopping, and though to add a protective layer, too. (They also repaired a mac laptop in the past.) Beyond compliance with covid guidelines as well, I'm happy to say.

I normally would try every single thing before I turn in my computer for repair. But no amount of Google, Youtube videos, and time was able to fix my Windows OS after I deleted a linux dual-boot. I explained it to a guy here over the phone and without even seeing my computer he was able to diagnose why it didn't work. My computer was fixed in three business days (I'm sure corona virus was the reason for three vs sooner).

These guys charge a very fair price (for me, the total was $100). I would highly recommend them to anyone who broke their computer and don't want to make it worse or are just tired of the trials & errors & headaches.

I wanted to post a review after my second time having a repair done here on 2 different computers. I think I used yelp to find this place the first time. They would have got 5 stars for that repair. I just had a laptop repaired. I give them a 5 stars this time as well. Why? Because these days you don't know who you can trust when hiring a specialist of any kind.

When it comes to computers, this is one place that many people have voted to be legitimate in terms of quality, and fair pricing. Fair meaning not ripping anyone off or over-charging to get your device back to where you need it to be. If I knew people who needed repairs done I would def recommend them to go here.

I'm not a novice when it comes to a computer. Got my first one in 1985 while working at a major bank. But alas I do not know everything. So happy I found these guys when my pc started acting up and going into recovery mode. It was a three year old laptop. Not only did I not know what to do but I was completely overwhelmed with a backup of items that needed computer entries and I kept getting error messages and a black screen.

When your computer starts being irregular, you know it's not a good sign Luckily these guys are in my neighborhood and after a search, I contacted them. They picked up my computer, kept it that day and most of the next day and then delivered it completely repaired and connected just as it was before. The problem was my hard drive and they returned the old one and replaced it with a new one.

A big plus. they gave me some good advice re internet service and devices and some simple solutions to everyday day problems. I would say their prices are reasonable and I would not hesitate using them again. They definitely have total computer knowledge.

All for half the price of what Apple would've made me pay in total for the repairs! It took them about 10 days to fix it, which is super quick in my experience and I am so grateful for the care and research they put into their service! Forever a customer and will always refer them!

I took my iPhone in for a cracked screen. Hang replaced my screen, and was extremely helpful and accommodating when I had to come back for some assistance to get things adjusted! I highly recommend his shop and am very happy with his technical and customer service! Thanks, Hang!

My screw was stripped while I was trying to repair my own computer and they not only spent 30 minutes trying different screw drivers to remove the screw, but when they finally got it removed, they told me it was no charge. I really appreciate their help and kindness, especially in such a busy environment. I would HIGHLY recommend their expertise.

Sent my laptop in for change of battery and I got it back with a crack on shell on one side (sign of being dropped) but worse.the brightness function does not work. The only way for me to use the laptop and the monitor be bright is to have it plugged in. which in turn will burn out the newly installed battery.kinda defeats the purpose of getting a replacement battery in the first place. Wasted 100 bucks n got back a broken laptop.

I was incredibly impressed with the service and care I received from Alphaurax. I had attempted to replace the fan on my Macbook Pro by myself, and detached a few fragile wire connections from the logic board. I thought I had ruined the connections for good but this was a very easy fix for the experts at this place. They were very polite, and walked me through each step, and explained the simple fix, so I didn't have to go to any unnecessary trouble, should this happen again.

They even called to update me on the repair process, and ensure how I wanted to proceed, and were transparent about costs throughout the process. My computer was repaired the SAME DAY and was ready for pickup. Super-affordable and helpful, I will be returning here for all my computer repair needs.

My Dell laptop wouldn't start-up and did a 7 beep. Researched it and was not up to all the You Tube recommendations and attempting to buy parts and do it myself. I didn't want to go to Geek Squad as they are the only service I've used before. I found these guys searching "laptop repair, Sunnyside." They didn't free diagnostic and gave their thoughts about what the problem could be and the pricing.

They called me when they figured it out (graphics card went bad) and confirmed the cost to repair $180+ tx. They are very knowledgable, set the proper expeditions of turn around time, etc and followed through as they promised. They are in the back of a hardware store so you have to look for them just a little, but it's a true workshop. I feel fortunate to have found them.

My computer was a piece of crap from the day I bought it, truth be told. So when it deteriorated further I just figured it was getting old, but finally it got to the point where it was unusable and rather than get a new one I figured I'd give these guys a shot. Turns out my computer had a virus. They were going to remove the virus, but my friend had told me to ask them about changing the operating system since I had Vista (not something they themselves had suggested).

I ended up doing just that. The guy I picked my computer up from also took the time to explain to me why I should be using certain programs over others and gave me a little advice on keeping my computer happy. The price came out to a very cool and breezy $96 and my computer is now running fast and problem free. Not too bad! They did say they would call me but I always ended up calling them.

At one point they actually told me they would call me when the computer was ready for pickup. I called the day it was supposed to be ready and they said I could come pick it up at anytime. If it was ready I'm not sure why they didn't call, but they don't seem too fond of using the phone. The only other issue I have is that I had to get all my data backed up, including my bookmarks. Hundreds of bookmarks from one specific folder were simply gone, and I used them pretty frequently so that's been a major inconvenience.

Overall I'm pleased with the end result, and it was far cheaper than getting a new laptop or even getting a new OS installed elsewhere (hence the 4 stars), but I'd be wary of letting them back up my data in the future.

The work they did was more than adequate and their customer service was phenomenal. Less than a month later, my computer died. I called Alphaurax and they responded to me within hours with a solution and an offer for a free loaner in the mean time. Great responsiveness and explained everything to me as they went along through the process.

I can't recommend these guys highly enough. Quan runs the operation and he is as helpful as is humanly possible. Before I ever gave him any real busines I called several times and it was like getting expert tech support over the phone! After the 3rd call I practically begged him to charge me for his time! The issue was that he doesn't make house calls, despite my quite close proximity to his shop. I ended up lugging the tower into his office for some repair and a cleaning.

Quick, expert, quite reasonably priced. Doesn't get much better than Quan!

The hard drive on my laptop had crashed, before I was even sure that I had fully & completely backed up the contents to an external hard drive. I figured even if I had lost everything, it would still be worth it to try and get it fixed by someone rather than buy a new computer, or worse, send it back to HP. Not only were they able to restore all my data (!!!), but they installed a new hard drive as well as the Windows software back onto the computer for what I considered to be a reasonable price. Definitely would recommend to all needing computer help!

I went here to have my Macbook laptop fix that was broken for almost two years. They conducted a free diagnostic on my laptop to examine the faults. My laptop does not turn on and theres no life on the screen at all. After an hour, I recieve a phone call telling me theres a white liquid(spilled milk) corroding on my motherboard and they gave me a quote (10% if i checked in). In addition, they even emailed me the picture of my dissected laptop. Very professional, knowleadgeable & good customer service.

my hp laptop was having very loud fan noise. I just let it be, b/c it works fine, until i watched a youtube video, my computer turned off and never able to turn in on. My friend recommended this repair place near me. I called and setup and appointment. They were able to help in right away. The tech diagnose my laptop and explained to me the problem.

Basically it was overheating, and I should of get it taken care of before it fried the video chip. Anyway, they were able to get the video chip fixed. I don't need to buy a new computer big save $$$.

Honest, thorough, and reasonably priced. I went in to fix a shattered iPhone screen that wouldn't recognize a swipe anymore. They squeezed me in so I wouldn't be without my phone for the day. It turns out there was more to my problem, and he spent a chunk of his time the following day trying to diagnose the issue for me. He advised me on some possible solutions I could try on my own, and one of them did the trick! I'll be bringing all of my phone and computer repair work to AlphauraX from here on out.

They helped me setup gmail using my own domain for business, which I tired on myself. I made a big mess. My current email also stopped receiving email. Luckily i found Alphaurax Computer. They got all the problem fixed. they also helped me migrate all the old email over. Friendly and knowledgeable staffs here.

The HD from my iMac failed very badly and suddenly. When I brought it here, they recovered all of my important data and replaced the drive. Very fast, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced.
