I could not recover a disk image from an external drive. Even Microsoft support told me all of my data was unrecoverable. Thousands of dollars in software gone. I went to Like New PCs, and got a call in 2 hrs that all of my data was back on my laptop and I could come pick it up! I was only charged the diagnostic fee, nothing extra. I would send anyone here for help.

I didn't actually shop here but I called them to get an estimated price range because I am brand new to the world of gaming pc's. The lady was polite, gave me realistic tips and expectations, and when she realized the store didn't have what was best for me she gave me a better store to go to instead of making an easy high price sale. I had issues with water damage on my laptop and took it into Likenewpcs thinking it wouldn't be able to be fixed. I brought my older MSI gaming laptop in for some help with diagnostics (slow disk and network I/O and random reboots). Paige (sorry if I misspelled that), helped me to troubleshoot and identify a failing, conventional hard disk. Within a week's time, they had my PC repaired and back in my hands. These guys are THE BEST! Purchased a refurbished desktop computer from them in August, 2013. It lasted eight-plus years. so when it was finally going thru its death throes, I returned to Like New PCs for another refurbished desktop computer. Sadly, this one ran great for only six-plus months. Two weeks after its warranty expired, it sputtered. hissed. crackled. and wouldn't boot.
I returned to Like New PCs, fearing a costly repair bill at a time I could not afford any unexpected bills. But. the guys there extended my warranty, so all I paid for was the diagnostics to figure out what had happened. Five hours after I dropped off my unit, it was up and running again, at no charge to get it repaired. I am beyond grateful for Like New PC's kindness and ethical business practices.

Excellent service and diagnostic skills. Very patient and helpful.able to explain issues in language a non-tecky can understand and assimilate. I have had this computer for 3 years and was ready to discard and get a new one due too continuous problems. I had had two other diagnostics work on it and the same problems reoccurred shortly after they returned the computer.

I'm pretty experienced with a PC, so my trip here was a last resort to get a fix for a software issue. Laptop hardware was fine, but windows wouldn't boot. Not wanting to factory reset from the Dell partition and reinstall all of my software (Dell sets aside a portion of the machine to access recovery options outside of Windows for these types of situations), I took it to these folks because of their history of quick turnaround and good pricing.
Their pricing model puts your diagnostic price toward any work or parts, so I paid for the diagnostic so we could get started. While discussing the process, I was informed in super upfront fashion that my goal of preserving my applications was just not going to happen. Having already paid, I took what I learned from them and tried one more thing. They aren't responsible for the miracle of my software booting for long enough to transfer files and record states of configurations, but that's what happened.
I still couldn't restore, but I reinstalled Windows after transferring everything and was good to go. When I called them in celebration, they promptly and happily gave me a refund. They were quick, honest, the shop has a nice little treasure trove of peripherals and you can see that they are putting in work based on the view of the workshop. I'll be back when I break another something.

I took my computer into Like New PCs for repairs for the first time in July. they repaired it and it worked fine until November. In November it crashed again and would not reboot. They repaired it again. In January it crashed again and would not reboot, same issue that was the original problem. When I called to see if it was covered under warranty the person on the phone said that it was over 30 days and it was out of warranty.
He then explained to me "that a computer is like a car and sometimes you just need to keep bringing it back for repairs". I did not like his answer after I had already spent several hundred dollars with them on repairs. I have now opted to find another repair shop and had good luck and no issues.

I had an odd error that wouldn't allow me to connect to WiFi or hardline on my gaming pc. On top of that my windows activation key was acting up and wouldn't allow me to make changes because it didn't recognize my profile as admin. Took it in at noon and they performed a diagnostic and system restore and my wife was able to pick it up the same day. Will most definitely use their services again once my own technical skills are exhausted!

I was looking for a refurbished computer and called it's some questions. Dominic was very helpful even though they didn't have what I was looking for. He spent a long time on the phone with me and gave me great advice to find what I needed. He patiently answered all my questions in a way that was friendly, easy to understand, as well as super informative. Based on the awesome customer service, I would t hesitate to come here should I need anything in the future. It's obvious Dominic knows a lot about what he does.

Took my custom build in for the blue screen from windows. Lost my setup which was ok/whatever just get it back to running I can do the rest. Ok we will see what we can do. A day later ok got windows up but we weren't able to save everything, 135$. Ok that's fine appreciate the work, goes down again didn't even get pasted the anti virus download. Alright I need this checked again it's not fixed, I simply tried to download my programs again and couldn't.
Could you please load the drivers and anti virus because that's where I'm having the issue. (Another tech) I told him what he needed to do in order to properly check it but apparently he didn't, no worries I will run it. Awesome thanks, NOPE Got the same tech on it AGAIN! This time he found when it was built my buddy left the plastic cover on the chip and applied thermal paste to it. Whew something small.
He calls me to tell me this, ok can download my drivers and such. No I've been stress testing the processor for over an hour now it's fine. OooKk thanks! Get the comp home, got everything loaded in fine! Awesome, I started using two programs while updating my drivers since there just happened to be an update. BOOM! AGAIN! Take it up there and make a simple request KEEP THAT TECH OFF MY COMPUTER PLEASE!
He simply won't listen to my issues I'm having and my computer is still broke. After dropping my computer off for a third time I get a call from the same tech I requested to not be involved because fuck my time is being wasted RIDICULOUSLY DUE TO HIS FUCKING EGO! So now I paid 135.00$$ for what is noted in their store for 69.99 diagnostic and they wanna save me money on fixing my comp with a build that is anywhere from 300-500 but 100 of that is labor and 200 is warranty. Are you fucking high?
So a processor, board, ram and case is gonna be 200$ tax included? Thieves watch out people. It really sucks when you try and give small businesses a chance and you have to go through this much BS. Even worse when your over hearing how another customer bought one of their rebuilt computers hours ago and already went down just to have their employees tell them well I will get to when I have a chance I'm sorry your pressed for time but we have other issues of importance to handle. I called about a laptop screen. I said I just need to pick it up and not have it installed. I was told that would be fine and they had it in stock. I drove 20 min down and the next guy said, no we don't sell laptop screens. He even called and they confirmed they earlier guy said they would sell it to me. They wouldn't honor the sale even with no return. If they can't honor what one of their staff tells a customer then what else are not not honoring.

I just want to warn everyone about taking their computers to Like New PCs (on 52nd off of Wadworth). I took my 9 month old laptop in because of power issues (it wouldn't turn on). I paid the $70 diagnosis fee and they returned it the next day (it powered up). When I asked what was wrong they replied the battery was really low and they just charged it. 3 days later, same problem, so I took it back.
This time they said the problem was because the cord wasn't connecting in to power the motherboard/battery correctly but it was something on the motherboard (not a daughter board) so I needed to replace the whole thing. I originally had paid $350 for the laptop so didn't want to spend too much, but they said it would $277. They had my computer for a week and I finally got it back.
It worked for 20 days, then same problem. I took it back and they told me it now needs a new batter $140. I talked to their employee Dominic saying it seems like they misdiagnosed it and I never needed a new motherboard. He said they had NEVER misdiagnosed a computer. I asked to talk to the manager/owner and he refused. He told me the owner had another full time job and was never there, and he was not available to call.
I asked him to have him call me within 48 hours, and Dominic was very rude. No word from the owner. I am guessing Dominic never told him, as I can't believe they would be in business for so long if the owner was a jerk. I'm still waiting to hear back from the owner. He really needs to know his rude employee is losing him customers. If any of you are friends with the owner (it says his name is Timothy Mayo on the website), let him him know he is losing customers.

I will give this company zero stars they had my computer in there to repair the same problem three different times every time I got it home and turned on the same problem existed every time I took it in I felt like I was inconveniencing them to drive my computer across town to have them repaired the same thing and then give me a hard time about it I really believe they just let it sit on the shelf and never even touched it finally the last time I called in they said they'd have to charge me again because I probably dropped itWhat a waste of my time don't waste years with this companyAlso the last time I picked it up I asked him what they did to it and he said to me why do I need to know that in

Called to make an appointment and they tried troubleshooting with me over the phone prior to bringing it in. Not sure what his name is but he was more than helpful and didn't have to help me over the phone. I brought it in anyway and they did an amazing job. Local business and great customer service i wont go anywhere else for my PC repairs.

Well to start this adventure off, I took my lenovo laptop into the store by Sams off Wadsworth. It had been running really slow, and audio was chopping up almost every time I got on it. Had them run diagnostics, which they found a bunch of things that they could "fix" (bugs, viruses)I paid for the "fix", and the Antivirus that they provide and picked it up.
They also "installed" more RAM to make it faster. I had a family emergency in Illinois so I left kind of in a hurry. Didn't take said laptop because all I really do with it is YouTube. I returned home after 10 days and decided to open it up. First off my keyboard was not only dirty n grimey, it was bubbled up to the point where keys weren't working properly. Took it back to them, (she) fiddled around with my keyboard, and asked if it was better.
I said there was nothing wrong with it b4 I brought it in, but apparently I needed to accept the half ass job of putting it in, which is still not 100%. Told me that they really didn't know what else to do. At this point I've paid around $200 for getting it fixed. As Im walking out the store I see a little "wifi booster" or something like that for $20.
I asked about it and she told me that it might help. Well it didn't. Lousy customer service by this woman, and absolutely no fix to my problems I had originally brought it in for. Its now slower than ever n I'm out a couple hundred bucks. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE. I'd probably been better off with GEEK SQUAD if that tells u anything. Thanks for reading, Pissed off Paul. I had to get a new adapter and charger for my laptop and these guys swapped it out for me at a very affordable price. Simply amazing. They even did some fine-tuning for free by replacing some old screws on my Lenovo yoga. Very friendly. Great service and best of all they laughed at my lame mom jokes

I've brought both my computer and phone to LikeNewPCs. For computer fixes, I think they're great. For phone repairs, they tend to take longer than normal phone repair services simply because they have a lot on their plate with other devices and computers. I think it's just an understaffed crew. Don't get me wrong though, they do great work, just not extremely fast.

Old-school shop with today's tech. With a tough set of system-level issues, I found this shop willing and able to go the extra miles and then some, to make sure all is well in the end. Along the way, you get to learn a lot of useful nuggets on architecture, software, and how they work together -- or don't. Best is an intellectually credible process, that never seeks to mollycoddle the customer with black and white solutions that usually don't exist. All props to Edwin, and to the management structure that backs him up.

Had a great Spencerian with Like New PCs! I do a lot of work on my rig myself, but when my liquid cooling system broke I wanted someone with more experience to take a look. I wasn't sure that this would be something they could do, but after talking with them I could instantly tell they had very indepth knowledge and would be perfect to fix my system.
They took my PC in at 11am and I got it the SAME day (EOD) Everything was installed properly, they removed the old system cleanly, and they went out of there way to make that I had the best customer service possible. This was a great experience and I would recommend them to any friend.
