Very friendly and professional. When I first visited they told me they would be closed for a week and would I like to go to another store. I continued with them, the new battery came in and they replaced it before they went away. Turned out they my diagnosis was wrong, the battery was discharging for another reason. They took the computer in, trouble shooted the machine for a week, made several adjustments and I picked up the machine. The machine is performing very well. There was no added charge for considerable additional work. Highly recommend.

I came here in desperation after the Apple Store told me my 3 year old MacBook was toast and that they would send it off to replace all the components for $575. Apple told me that the computer passed the diagnostics and they tried re-installing the OS but nothing was working. The guy who helped me at Dave's Computers was calm, pleasant and honest.
He first noted that Apple had returned the laptop to me COMPLETELY DEAD/NOT CHARGED. The next day, he calls and tells me it's FIXED! He had charged the Macbook and reinstalled the OS. Reasonable prices, and nice honest people. I will definitely come here next time before going to the Apple Store again.!

Replaced the hard drives on two of my Mac computers. The Mac computers are now faster than when I first bought them-the speed is life changing. I needed to share this experience after a friend told me what happened. While I am not one to write reviews and kill small businesses, I wanted to share that after purchasing a new charger my friend's computer is running just fine. A difference of $25 vs $300 charge for the repairs they stated my computer required in order to get it operating is quite shocking.
Perhaps it was a faulty diagnosis on your end, however, my hope is simply that you conduct business in an ethical manner and hold your business to a higher standard in the future.

Critical:Value Ended up paying 278 dollars and all they did was put a new fan in 15 dollars and a new ssd 500 gb 90$ and then tell me one ram slot on the mobo is failing. Very over priced feel ripped off. Said the 149 dollar diognostics fee would go towards work that had to be done but still go charged and additional 138 at pick up

Dave's Computers is terrific! I have an old Toshiba Qosmio that I depend on but, for the last several years, it has run extremely and painfully slow. I expected Dave's to tell me the laptop was just too old. NO!. They diagnosed and repaired the problem. Apparently my hard drive would not pass their diagnostic testing. I needed a new hard drive. They replaced it and successfully transferred all my programs, etc. that was on the old drive. Thank you, "Dave's"! It's running beautifully and is a pleasure to use again.

I want to share my very positive experience with Dave's Computer Repair. My laptop's fan started to make unusual noises during the weekend. I e-mailed Dave's Computer Repair early on Monday morning and immediately received an invitation to bring my computer in. I brought my laptop in Monday morning and for a VERY reasonable price it was fixed by Wednesday morning.
Compare this experience to the Geek Squad at Best Buy who estimated 30 days for the repair. Who can go without their computer in this day and age for 30 days? Count me in as an appreciative and very satisfied customer of Dave's Computer Repair.

Customer Service is horrible. I called first before coming to the store and told the man over the phone my MacBook Air starts up to a folder with a flashing question mark. I would like to get the data off the computer, during the conversation I was not told about a $79 diagnosis fee. When I came into the store I was now being told of a $79 diagnosis fee and it would be credited to the cost of the data recovery.
I would get a call in 2-3days about my computer.They never contacted me and on the third day I called the store to ask about my Macbook Air. The man claimed he was currently working on it and he saw my files. He asked me which ones were most important to recovery first and I told him my pictures and Adobe files. I offer to come to the store with my external drive for the files to be transferred.
The employee told me he would call me back later that day and he wanted to make sure the files could be saved before I came into the store with my external hard drive. He never called me back that day. I get a text from Dave's computer the next day, 2 hours before the store is going to close that they could not fully transfer any of my files and my computer is ready to be picked up.
These people's behavior is disrespectful and unprofessional that they didn't even have the courtesy to call me about my computer and sent a text with no information on the diagnosis. When I came in person to get my computer I questioned the man on what was done to it.
He was trying to brush me off, and said the files could not be saved. I then asked him if they used a software or opened my computer. He said they opened my computer to take out the hard drive and connect to another computer. I wanted to ask more questions, this man attitude showed he was annoyed and wanted me to leave. I don't know if further damage was done to my computer when it was open and I was not provided with a report on the troubleshooting they performed .
I don't know how this is even legal to charge for a diagnosis and then provide no written report to the customer! It's a lie being advertised on this website they provide free diagnostic service. Why was I charged $79? I wasted my time and money coming to Dave's Computers and on top of their horrible customer service, my computer was returned back to me with some dirt inside the back hinge and dust marks on the top of the cover.

scam to me to collect money without doing the job.

Found them through Google. They were able to take me quickly. ----- Great. There was an extra fee to rush it. ----- Fine, no problem. When I received my laptop back it was very messed up including my MS Office documents (Word, Excel, etc.) were ALL converted into software called 'LibreOffice' which they installed on my laptop. My email was disconnected from the interface I had it attached to. Desktop format completely changed and on and on. ---- Let's fix it. Called and was told that I need to bring my laptop back to them and drop it off to fix THEIR mistakes.
I would lose at least a full day of working on my laptop and that is a 1 hour round trip for me x 2. I asked for them to just link into my computer and have them fix the problems they created and was told I had to pay for that. They created the problems and how do you justify $50 dollars to link into my device? I asked to speak to the Dave of Dave's computers and was told he will tell me the same thing with a little laugh. I chose not to give them another dime. Scam? Or they don't understand how to run a business. Very disappointing.

I brought my desktop in after it was having issues turning on. After a quick assessment, I left it there with the promise they would take a look at it ASAP. Shortly after lunch, maybe two hours later, they got back to me with the news that my motherboard had failed. They offered to transfer everything over to a new tower that would be comparable and they even offered to upgrade me to windows 10. Overall, it was a bit expensive, but my computer was up and running + upgraded within hours of the initial drop-off. The quality of work was excellent and should I require assistance in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to bring my computer to Dave's.

I had a virus on my computer and I am pretty savvy on how to deal with this stuff, so I tried to figure it out, but could not. It had stopped my already installed Norton from working and conveniently could not get to the internet to download an updated version. I tried to bring a bootable rescue CD from work, but it either would not boot to it or it would start and fail.
So after spending a fair amount of time and seeing no end in sight, I figured it was time to let someone more knowledgeable than myself take care of the problem. They took care of my problem in a few days and now my PC is happy and secure once again!

My computer started going glitchy a couple of weeks ago (required numerous restarts) and finally got to the point where the programs would not run at all. My husband thought it was a problem with the hard drive not being recognized. We took the laptop to Dave and he looked at it immediately with an initial diagnosis of a bad laptop, the hard drive itself appeared to be OK (a great relief since I use it quite a bit).
He confirmed this the next day and after a couple of phone calls to agree on the direction to proceed, I now have a new computer with the old hard drive, all my files and the same "look" that I m familiar with. Thanks for making the transition completely painless! Dave was completely professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with and the computer is running beautifully.

I have an old laptop that I use as a backup that was running so slowly that I considered junking it. I took it to Dave's Computers for a tune-up and I am absolutely amazed how they were able to make the laptop run almost like new. It is now running faster than my newer, more powerful laptop. I will definitely be bringing the newer laptop to Dave's for a tune-up in the near future. It was worth every penny to get my laptop tuned up at Dave's.

I went to Daves computer store yesterday because my laptop was overheating. Figured I had a broken fan. They quickly diagnosed it was actually dust and resolved he issue right there. We had an external hard drive that we thought had crashed. I walked into Dave's and he looked at it free of charge. He recommended another shop that handled the very specific type of repair required. I consider myself fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time. I was headed to my gym one night when I notice a vehicle with advertising computer repairs on it. I took down the number to call the shop the next morning. At that time I had been waiting on Best Buys geek squad computer repair to send machine off to a third-party but my machine sat there for over a week.

What was really a plus for me is he didn't make me feel a bit uncomfortable about my lack of computer training. Had several severe issues with my eight-year-old laptop. Normally I would have replaced it however there was lots of data on the crashed hard drive that I needed recovered. After Dave's initial assessment they were confident they could retrieve most of the data I needed. Dave's replaced and upgraded the hard drive, upgraded the RAM, reloaded OS, scanned and back up.
All was completed in a 24 hour period for much less than what I could've bought a new laptop for. Dave's said my laptop should be good for another four years easily. My older Dell Dimension had been reconstituted a few times...and I always feared one day having to reinstall the OS and start from scratch. When the motherboard failed and I was down on my luck, Dave was able to get me up and running again by selling me a much more up-to-date core PC. As a business owner in Hillsborough, it's imperative that we have our computers up and running every day. You can imagine my dismay when my laptop crashed and I was unable to network into our business. Rather than taking it to a "Geek Squad" at one of the many box stores, I chose to take it to Dave's Computers right in town. Can't thank Dave's Computers enough for fixing the issues of viruses and other problems that affected a relatively new HP Envy laptop. It had been repaired twice previously by a now out of business firm in Montgomery. Dave's corrected the problem, loaded some software to prevent future issues and at a very reasonable cost. No problems for the last five months and counting!. These guys are really experts in soling your computer problems.
