DC Jack Repair
Report
What is provided:
FREE DIAGNOSTICS!
This is recommended for all of my clients to ensure the problem experienced is due to DC jack failure. On some laptops I have found that the charger is the actual problem. I do sell universal replacement laptop chargers and are typically in stock for $45. 00.

The repair - What happens is your DC jack becomes loose and de-soldered form the mother board not allowing your computer to charge. What I do is disassemble the laptop, clean all of the parts inside, the fan, and reseat the processor with a high temp heat sink compound allowing the laptop to run cooler once on. The actual repair is soldering the jack back on to the board, it usually breaks at 1 or 2 points, even the DC jack being loose can cause more damage to the motherboard by shorting it out, what I do is fix the broken connections as well as even replace the soldier on the other connections to make sure it doesn't happen again in the future!
Pricing:
Two flat rates;
$85. 00 if you would like your DC jack REPAIRED. This is typically what my clients get if they have to wiggle the cord to get the laptop to charge.
$105. 00 if the DC jack needs to be REPLACED. This price includes the cost of the new DC Jack. This is typically required if the pin inside is completely broken, very loose. This repair does have a 3-5 day waiting period for the new DC jack to come in from my supplier in CA.

If you've dropped your laptop-or dropped something on it-and the screen has fractured, the diagnosis is easy. Connect an external monitor to your notebook via its VGA-out port to verify that the notebook's other components still work. Data recovery is the process of salvaging data from damaged, failed, corrupted, or inaccessible secondary storage media when it cannot be accessed normally. We can help with this, sometimes it's better to get a "fresh start" we can restore your computer to its original state!

So my PC just wont turn on one day, brought it in to the shop and told me they will give me a call, which they did and give me quote. Even though it took a couple time to trouble shoot, But the computer was fixed. Great service with reasonable price ( unlike many other place try to scam you). Definitely worth a try!

Can't say enough good things. I called the store stressed about my laptop that was acting up, but I use my computer for work on the daily, most of the day, so I couldn't be away from it long. I told them employee about my issue and he was more than willing to work with me. Within a day the store notified me that the part I needed was in, he then repaired the laptop in two hours later in the afternoon to accommodate my busy work schedule. I am so very happy I chose the place and will be returning with further repair needs.

I have a Dell laptop on which the dc jack failed several times (due to poor design). I had it replaced at a local repair shop; but it failed within a few months. While in Florida during last winter, I had Orlando Laptop Repair help with the problem. He could have replace the jack again, or said he did and charged me for it; but he said he soldered the connection and saved me the cost of replacing the part.
My computer has been working and charging as it did when it was new. I am appreciative that they were honest and competent, and charged me less than I expected. Thanks for your honesty!

Tldr; Great guy who diagnosed my issues quickly for no charge! My custom built PC wouldn't turn off after a storm so I took it here for a diagnosis. I've heard that this could cost around $100 at Best Buy and I was willing to pay that much for it. He took my PC in and called me the very next day letting me know that the motherboard and graphics card were fried.
I was expecting to pay but he didn't end up charging me for it! What a guy! He even took the time answer any questions I had about it and wished me luck with getting the parts I needed. About 3 months later after I was finally able to snag a graphics card from the NewEgg Shuffle! I tried to install it but my computer still wouldn't turn on. Eventually I came back here and he took it in and resolved the issue no charge!
I tried offering a tip but he wouldn't accept it. So basically, if you have any issues with your computer, DEFINITELY check out Orlando Laptop Repair. You won't be disappointed! This is my first time writing a review so excuse me if I added to much fluff or sounded cheesy

Although I make a habit of backing up my files to a cloud service, I recently needed to recover some important items from the desktop of my old ASUS laptop. I decided to try Orlando Laptop Repair to rescue them. The issue was a loose AC port, suffering from years of bumps to and from the desk. The part on Amazon was $12 and I was quoted $75 for the repair; given I don't know how to solder, this seemed pretty fair.
It's a bit of a drive from where I live, so I was initially a little disappointed to call while in the area and find that the expected date of Wednesday had been moved back two days due to trouble sourcing the part. This wasn't a huge issue, but a heads-up would have been appreciated. When I paid, I didn't receive any advice on how long the repair would last or any issues to anticipate - just to be careful not to jostle it too much.
As of yesterday, however, my laptop isn't working again. Periodically over the past two months since the repair, my laptop smelt like burning plastic at times. I was initially worried I was having a stroke or going crazy since it wasn't constant, but it is indeed an issue of overuse or an incorrect repair since I can no longer even start my laptop, sadly. Again, I'm not certain if I made some mistake in using the laptop since the repair or if it was a temporary fix to begin with since I didn't receive any guidance from Orlando Laptop Repair.
It's disappointing to have effectively rented a laptop for two months so I'd encourage you to ask even the questions you think are dumb so something similar doesn't happen to you.
