I brought my laptop into LeftClick - paid for their 'priority diagnostic service' for $149 - they told me I needed a new motherboard and it would be over $900 to fix the problem. I then asked them to just back up my files and put in on a hard drive that I supplied, since I didn't have $900 at the time. The charge to back my files up onto a hard drive was another $149.
So far, I was into them for $300. A week after I dropped off the hard drive, I still hadn't heard from them. I even submitted a ticket on their website asking if they had any issues. No answer. I finally show up to get my laptop and they tell me "Oh, it's getting ready to be refurbished". I asked why they would do that since I never asked for that and they said, "because it doesn't work.?" I took the laptop back because I couldn't justify spending $1,200 ($900 for the mother board and $300 I already spent) to fix a $1,600 laptop.
Not to mention the horrible communication and the refurbishment of my laptop that I never asked for. I guess it's a good thing I showed up that day to get it. A week later I brought it to another place in Northampton - they tested it and then replaced the LCD panel for $300 and it fixed the problem completely. It's been working perfectly for weeks since then.
So either, 1.) The staff at LeftClick lack basic skills in diagnosing common computer problems, or 2.) they lied and tried to make an extra $800 off me. Either way, I will never bring my computers there again. The place I brought it to in Northampton was Green Earth computers on Crafts Ave. Great communication, fast service.

Found this place because of a good Google review about repairs for a MacBook Pro with water damage - I would also highly recommend them for their prompt service, helpful advice, and relatively affordable repairs for what would be diagnosed as you-need-a-new-laptop at an Apple store. They also took good Covid-19 precautions when dealing with the drop off and pick up of the laptop.
The refurbished parts they used to replace the water damaged ones look almost brand new and my laptop works great! They also made the user profile picture a seasonal gingerbread person, which isn't super relevant but was cute.

I brought my son's gaming laptop in for diagnosis, I was told about the initial diagnostic fee, and a rough estimate of what it would cost to remedy the problem depending on what was found in the diagnostic phase. I was told repair time would be 2-3 days because of the pandemic. The actual charges(270.) far exceeded the initial cost prediction. (150.) They were willing to lower one charge because my laptop "was not an Apple product" There were consistent vague responses about the problem and solution leaving me feeling they didnt have a firm grasp of what to do -and/ or were not prioritizing this job.
There was no hardware problem found, so no parts replacement were needed. I had to call numerous times to get an update and job completion estimate. Each estimate, and promises to call back were not followed through. The repair took a week - and probably was only completed because we bugged them several times.

I brought my laptop to Left Click because it wouldn't boot. They were friendly, respectful, and polite, unlike their competitors, and told me several different things that might be the problem (unlike their competitors who seemed to think there was only 1 or two things worth checking, and just waned to sell me a new machine instead of even trying to fix my old one like I wanted), and made every effort to help me. I would go back for further help in the future, if needed.

My Windows OS crashed and I brought it to Left Click for repair. I was impressed with the amount of time they spent with me explaining the potential problems and what it might cost for repair along with other possible solutions that might be pursued through Microsoft or Dell. Their service solved my problems and I am completely satisfied.

I went in to get a new battery for my 2013 Macbook pro, which I thought would be simple enough. I paid $300 for what I was told was a "like new, Grade A" battery, but the battery they installed already had 577 cycles (out of a useful life of about 1000). After I pointed this out, they agreed that it was a "bummer" and agreed to put my old battery back and refund the cost of the battery. But I still had to pay over $100 for the diagnostic and installation labor.
