It would be hard to imagine a more poorly run business. If you are looking for any kind of help with your computer, this isn't the place for you. After one bad experience for a computer repair issue I gave them another chance just looking to buy a power cord for my laptop and they told me I needed to service my laptop in order to buy the cord (which they had in stock).

Not sure what planet they live on, but its not one that includes being helpful to potential customers. Lets put it this way, I have made a point to never create a Yelp acct, but my experience with this store has finally pushed me over the edge.do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

Friendly, professional, quick enough turnaround. They're strict (good) about covid stuff, and gave me a receipt for everything they did. I like a fastidious shop.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I've been a customer for 20+ years. From building custom desktops back in the 90's, to helping our school maintain security for our internal network today, these guys do it all. No matter what you think of, these guys will help you with what you didn't think of. Keep the bad guys out of your home, office or school. Outstanding service and worth every penny.

The day I wrote my review wasn't the date of occurrence. It was months earlier and I stand by what I said about the service I received and the fee I paid. It wasn't a virus, you looked for my lost files. A "look" cost $250 and no files were found. Just be aware consumers and get all costs up front. And hopefully the rude guy up front is gone.

This business can't ever admit they did anything wrong as you can see from their responses to their Yelp reviews. There are 2 sides to a story and they might both be right but as an owner of a business, you might want to throw a mea culpa in once in a while to show you understand the frustration of your customers.

I brought a Mac computer my office gave me to Flash Tech that I wanted to clean up and give to a family member. I tried to restore it on my own but was a little over my head. The team at Flash Tech was very fast, charged me the lowest possible price for what I needed, and kept me up every step of the way. I really appreciate transparency, friendly service, and quick turn around time!

2 days ago I went there because my computer has black screen and them there was smoke that came out on my computer. when I went there they charged me $60 for cleaning the dust from the outside and then said they will cost hundred more for open it up. Yes, they charge you $60 for telling you something that you already know. Opening anything cost you hundreds of dollars. Wasted a whole day for me for not using a computer.

Their so-called Apple authorized technician's don't know their stuff. That technician was smart enough to tell me this: was it the dust instead of smoke? That has to be the most amusing thing I've ever heard of. Two days later, guess what, my computer is broken, I wish someone had told me to avoid these mediocres and go fix everything myself.

I took my drive to Flash tech and told them that it was making a clicking sound and then they called me back and told me what I already knew, solution $1,200 and not even at their shop. And so they are charging me 60 dollars for telling me something that I already shared with them. This is not a professional service but rather a scam. I feel cheated out of my money. I would have appreciated a professional evaluation.

Flash Tech is definitely the best computer store in the area. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They can help you with things from complicated repairs, to small things like helping you find the right USB hub. I have never been disappointed with their service. Overall if you need anything computer related, Flash Tech is the go-to store.

I've purchased two Asus laptops from Flash Tech. Yes, you pay a little more, but if something goes wrong, you just walk your computer over to the shop. They offer extra care over and above the Asus warranty, and that's the kind of hand holding I need with technology. Today, in fact, I was getting a warning notification that some googling said could be a serious virus.

So I brought it to the shop and there was actually a simple explanation from the tech. Had I bought this on Amazon or Best Buy, they would have told me to send it back for evaluation when the problem ended up being nothing. They're also happy to take calls when I have a question about something. Like I said, the extra you pay ends up buying you peace of mind. What's that worth, really? Both purchases have been totally stress free, thanks to their great service. Thank you, Flash Tech!

My Computer (laptop) was giving me trouble and a friend recommended Flash Tech. They diagnosed a terminal problem (OK pun intended, if you are old enough to know what a terminal is). They let me know what they sell, but no hard sell to buy from them. I paid to back up the data from my old PC I researched what they offered and they were good products.

Cost about $200 more than a discounter I decided to buy from them. For $200 more I would buy local, and they support what they sell. Turns out unlike a discounter they test the new laptop before delivering it to you. If there is a problem they return it for you. They took time to explain the new systems and access to me. I really feel that I I made the right decision, and I believe I received more in tech checking and set up support than the $200 discount from a discount service would have given me. I recommend them!

I had a situation where a Windows update rendered my installation of Windows worthless as a bootup file got corrupted. I had literally thousands of pictures that I had not yet backed up (shame on me and lesson learned). The team at Flash Tech was able to recover my data and reinstall windows for me. In total it was 3 hours worth of work. They called me once to confirm I would want them to exceed 1 hour worth of work and told me they expected about 2 more hours of work. All of this was done around the 4th of July. Professional service and easy to work with.

Honest, conscientious, informed. As it turns out, there was a limit to what they were able to to do help me with my slow, brick of an 8-year old computer but they set my expectations realistically and got back to me with a prompt diagnosis. They handled everything impeccably, from intake to timely service, I couldn't expect a better experience. I highly recommend Flash Tech.

Excellent service. They're thorough, fast and it seems fastidiously honest. It's good to know one has a service like this in the neighborhood.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I've been building computers for more than 20 years, I'm very familiar with the ins and outs of computer tech problems. I recently came across an issue I was not able to resolve myself and in my methods of figuring out what to do, Mike the Manager of Flash Tech was very informative and helping during the entire process. It's never fun to have computer issues, but when it comes to quality of service and an establishment that sticks to their word (which feels like that is hard to come by), this company stands out.

Not only is Flash Tech very fairly priced for what they're doing for your product, but they are more than happy to help you in the least expensive way to ensure your satisfaction is met. I couldn't be happier with this service, I highly recommend anyone having issues to go there, and if I have any more issues I cannot figure out I will be returning.

THANK YOU! GOT MY EMAIL BACK! PLUS A FREE JOKE Thanks for fixing my email yesterday! Matt is great! Just now my 96-year-old father Steve called and told me the following joke, which, astonishingly, applies: This lady went out to her mailbox at the curb, opened it, looked in, and slammed the door shut. Then she marched back into the house in disgust.

Five minutes later, she went back out to the mailbox and checked it again. Again, she slammed the door shut and started back into the house. A neighbor called out, "Are you alright? Is everything okay?" The lady replied, "I don't get it! My computer keeps telling me that I've got mail!"

Great staff and great service. Highly recommend with confidence and trust. They worked on my Mac mini and a part inside broke as they were repairing it. They replaced the part without hesitation or charging me extra. They were meticulous and courteous. They work on PC's as well. They will be my go-to repair place from now on.

This might be an odd review, but I didn't actually use flash tech for my computer repair. I think the gentleman's name was Mike that helped me. I explained to him what happened to my computer that wasn't working and instead of taking my computer to "fix" and my money, he was completely honest and told me, he could try to fix it and maybe salvage some data from it, but it wasn't worth the risk.

That odds were, I'd put the deposit down and it still likely wouldn't work. I appreciated his honestly and customer service. I'd recommend this place to anyone and would definitely go back.

I read a lot of reviews about computer repair shops prior to settling on Flash Tech. I could not have been more pleased with my entire experience. I was helped by Michael and Matt, both of whom spoke with me throughout the entire process of fixing my computer and who could not have been nicer. I took in a MacBook with a damaged screen and was given a very honest explanation of what might happen when the computer was opened up and how much money I was looking at spending.

Once opened, FlashTech called me to inform me of the damage and run down of what had to happen next. I thought they were completely honest and fair and did not do anything with my computer without calling to consult me first. I especially appreciated that they took the time to explain every issue and help me understand it. My computer is good as new and I could not be happier. If you want honest service, Flash Tech is that. Thank you guys!

I was extremely happy with this place. I went in with an old dead laptop, and they were able to save my hard drive and turn around really fast for a very reasonable price.

I deal a lot with computers in a daily basis and sometimes forget an accessory, cable, or whatever. Price is definitely more expensive than the internet, but you can't beat instant delivery. Whenever I come here, the people are always willing to help me with any questions I have and are generally kind.

The guy that helped me (I believe he was the owner) was very transparent about what I would be charged and how they would evaluate my issue. I had dropped my Macbook Pro from my bed, which caused my screen to go black. They charge you by the half hour and ask you to put down a 1 hour deposit, if they don't use the full hour they will refund you half your money back.

The technician working on my Mac called me the next day to keep me updated on their progress. By noon, I received the great news that my Macbook's screen wouldn't have to be replaced and they were able to fix it by resetting the screen's internal cable. On top of that, they were going to refund me half my money since it only took a half hour to service my Mac. 5 Stars for honesty, quick turnaround and professionalism!

No gimmicks, no fine print. Very happy I chose Flash Tech. My biggest fear when servicing my Mac ( which is fairly new and was expensive) was that whoever I took it to would milk my issue for whatever it was worth to them. These guys could have said my service took a hour, they didn't. If they were really scummy (which is an issue that exists out there) they would have told me my screen needed a full replacement.

I am not usually compelled to write reviews, but hopefully this helps someone choose these guys over some other business that doesn't have the integrity/service that I have seen here.

I have been going to these guys for over ten years, and I have had two gaming machines built for me. The first machine lasted over 7 years that in itself is a statement on the work they do here. My most recent machine I requested Windows 7 to be put on it, if you check their setup for the model III rigs they build they come with Windows 10. I asked them if it was possible to have Windows 7 installed Mike advised me to go with 10 but I insisted on 7.

He did it my way and it took a while for the updates to be downloaded but they kept me appraised of the progress. The machine is a Beast, it runs my game flawlessly! I am more than happy with their professionalism and integrity. I will continue to go to them for all my computer repair or builds in the future. I strongly recommend Flash Tech!

Took my laptop in which I thought had power problem. They take deposit for one hour which is $100 something. A technician called me after a full day asking for password and told me that they are now going into Phase 2. The next day another technician called me and told me that the problem was the power cable not plugged in properly to the adaptor.

The technician than asked me since my virus software has expired if I want them to install a free software. Without much thinking I said yes. When I went to pick the computer, they charged for the full $100 something deposit. When I asked if they indeed took 1 full hour, the response I received was that 30min was spent on identifying the power issue and the other 30 min was spent on installing virus software and running some checks.

It took full 2 days to fix the problem of loose power cable and cost 100 something. I went in after reading the other reviews that spoke of giving honest fee assessment and refunds, but I doubt I will go back.

Pleasantly surprised by the level of service and feedback. I had my iMac hard drive upgraded and they did it all in the same day and since it only took 1/2 an hour, they refunded half of the hour fee I had paid upfront. Very honest and very professional. Would recommend!

Here is a unbiased review of my recent computer PANIC! I received truly professional and outstanding service at FlashTech when I was having a computer problem. I was unsure about how the process works and was afraid of getting ripped off about something I know very little, but they walked me through the whole process on the phone and explained their very detailed billing and additional work approval system.

It was explained which components and cables I needed to bring and those that could stay at home so the process could be 100% thorough. When I brought my equipment to the shop, they recorded very detailed notes for the technician who would work on my machine, and had me approve them. I received a call from the tech after he had discovered the problem and was provided with solutions and also offered some additional options.

When I went to pick up the equipment, everything was ready and I even received a refund from the deposit I had originally provided. My only regret is I did bring my computer to them sooner. How about that a happy ending to a computer story.

These guys are crooks. The main guy had terrible customer service and lacked communication skills. I had a virus on my laptop with pop ups that I wanted removed. I walked in and he explains that they can guarantee how long it will take but it is $125 for the first hr and that this type of service should only take an hr. I paid the $125 and left my laptop.

I get a call that night by a technician saying everything looks good and that I will receive a call in the morning to wrap everything up. I get a call in the morning by a different technician saying that the laptop won't turn on and that it will cost another $125 to wipe it clean and try to get it back on. I was so frustrated. So i wind up paying $125 and now i can't even get the thing on. A total waste of time, BS shop and unprofessional.

I can't recommend Flash Tech enough. This is probably my third time bringing a computer to Flash Tech and each time they had fixed my problem. I had brought my computer to them because I was experiencing blue screens. They had told me it was because windows was installing some key software on my second hard drive. They resolved my issues. But when I had brought my pc home, my tower fell off my desk.

The power button would not power the pc on, and I got a blue screen because my pc was overheating. I brought it back to Flash tech and they fixed everything (luckily there was no damage) for FREE. Great service and a great team. It's no surprise they have been in business for as long as they have.

This is the best repair service I have ever used. You will be charged upfront for a full hour's service. I thought that would be a minimum. Boy was I surprised when they refunded half money since repairs only took a half hour. I respect the honestly! I was also able to pick up an enclosure in store for $30 to preserve my old hard drive. Very convenient. Hopefully I will not need repair services again anytime soon, but if I do I will definitely go back to Flash Tech.
