Politely asked for the price to fix a hard drive. Proceeded to ignore me and then hang up.

Two months. Called or dropped by each week. Finally just took my computer back - nothing was done and the screws were taped to the back. Do not go here ever.

Unfortunately I have to write a horrible review about this business because the owner is a liar and a thief. We trusted him and sold us a POS for our business- after months of struggle and issues with the software/hardware- we told him that we had to go to another company and get a professional pos. He understood and even confirmed that I was going to get a refund for part of the cost on the pos.

After months of emails, calls, voicemails, text messages and even going to his business in person- he keeps avoiding me. I will file a claim against this place- but I definitely want to let everyone know that he is a thief. Do not trust him- especially if you are paying him in advance for a service.

I have taken several home computers to them over the years, and they have always given me great service, honest advice, and fair prices. William even came to my house the first time I called them because they'll make the offer, though I wouldn't recommend that because they still have to take it to the shop to get it fixed, so you might as well take your computer to them to start with.

Most recently I dropped my computer off on a Monday night and had a call Friday afternoon that it had been fixed. Fortunately just one part had gone bad. When I brought it home, I noticed they had even updated the some of the software I had, though I hadn't asked them too--nice touch! I would recommend them to everyone.

I did not receive anything close to good service. My mac would shut down on its own continually. I asked the guys at this shop to check it out. They told me it was the hard drive - $250 for parts and labor. Seemed reasonable, and since they were a mac certified shop I felt confident in their judgement. Two weeks later I got my laptop back. It continued to shut down randomly.

I brought it back and they told me that because the mac was old (manufactured in 2010) that there was a lot of dust inside and that the fan may need to be replaced. They checked it out again, said they ran it for 24 hours without incident - no random shut downs. They gave it back to me and it continued to shut down on me. I decided to bring it to the nearby Apple store.

The 'genius' ran a scan on it, which showed in the backlog the acronym 'GPU' popping up every time the computer shutdown. Guess what? It was the graphics processing unit, not the hard drive, or the fan. I got my mac fixed at the Apple store and now it runs like new. While the tech at First Call Computer Center may have been Mac Certified, he was illiterate when it came to mac computers.

The tech at the Apple Store pulled the info up on the GPU within in minutes. I suggest go to another independent mac certified shop or just go to the Apple store. It will save you a lot of hassle and frustration.
