I used them years ago and they were great, so when I needed help with my laptop, I went WAY out of my way to go to them (25 miles). They had it for 4 weeks. It needed a new motherboard. When I got it back, it took me two days to fix things they shouldn't have messed with and I have all kinds of strange email addresses in my email. Last time they'll see my business. I also had to call continually to see what was happening with my laptop.

I wanted to rate my visit with Dylan Thomas at Computer Renaissance today. It was definitely a five star experience. After four grueling days trying to purchase and set up a new laptop with Best Buy, Dylan had my computer out the door first thing in the morning and took extra steps to show me everything I needed to know. Dylan is amazing. I had just been told by another Tech that my computer was dead, could not be recovered and I needed to buy a new one. As a last resort I stopped by Computer Renaissance on my way home and an hour later walked out with a fully functioning computer. I could not be more pleased with the professionalism, knowledge, patience and attention to detail that Dylan gave my problem. He definitely went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Dylan and Computer Renaissance.

I have used this store three times. One for a data recovery. One to build a custom computer when I wanted to stick with Windows 7 and not Windows 8, and all the Windows 7 Dells had low specs, and now for a cleaning/checkup. Each time I have been very pleased. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous AND honest. Will keep going back. I don't remember who I had the other two times, but this most recent times I had Scott. :

I can't put into words how helpful Dylan is! Whatever the problem is, he'll give you a fair assessment of what needs to be done without any price gouging or overselling. Dylan is an articulate and extremely helpful guy who really wants to make sure that you never have to go back! 5-star service--look no further.

Dylan is the man! My old PC laptop bit the dust. All I use it for is an ancient version of Autcad, so buying something new just wouldn't work/be compatible. Dylan took a look at my situation and recommended the right laptop/OS. He even told me a few locations to look. I found exactly the thing I needed, per his recommendation, and at a fantastic price. I brought it back to him and he quickly set it up to get me going. Thanks, Dylan. I really thought I was screwed!

Called this store to ask about availability of a USB Y-cable (2 males-1 female) so that my external hard drive could draw more power from the computer without needing an external power supply. Instead of a simple yes/no answer, I got some idiotic "know-it-all" who tried to "educate" me on why such a thing can not and does not exist. Blathered on about how it's "not technically possible". Yea.
Okay buddy. So I ordered one from Amazon and it works great. I would avoid this store. Knowledgeable tech store employees are great, and I can even tolerate employees who aren't so knowledgable as long as they can acknowledge the gaps in their knowledge and refer me to google or whatever. But this place clearly encourages their employees to just make crap up to feel superior to their customers. Will never give them my business.

My laptop suddenly became unusably slow and I reluctantly decided to find a place to try and fix it when I stumbled upon Computer Renaissance. I was fearful that my laptop wouldn't be salvageable, but these guys found the problem in the manufacture's software for the hard drive and now it is good as new. I was expecting to pay well over $100 for this repair, but I was only charged $50 after they spent 3 days and no telling how many hours to fix it.
I was ELATED! I will no longer be reluctant to take my laptop to them if I ever experience any problems in the future for I now know that these guys will do whatever it takes to get to the bottom of the issue and exhaust all measures to fix it. I highly recommend anyone experiencing problems with their computer to bring it to Computer Renaissance!

These people hooked me up. I went from store to store, needing a small specific detail, basically a CD with a specific form of software burned onto it, and I went three places, two laughed me out the door, and another wanted to charge $20 for one CD! I went to this computer renaissance, and they hooked me up at a very reasonable price. The took care of me because they felt they needed to satisfy the customer.
The work was minimal on their part, and they could have tried to snow me over. If you want to go try an independent computer store for the personal attention, this is the place to go.
